Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and evolve scalable, high-performance backend systems and distributed services that support business-critical applications.
- Lead architecture and technical design for core services, making sound decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Own end-to-end delivery of backend initiatives from requirement refinement and design to implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain robust APIs, asynchronous workflows, and event-driven services using modern backend engineering practices.
- Drive improvements in system performance, observability, fault tolerance, and operational excellence across services in production.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve service stability.
- Collaborate closely with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance while promoting engineering best practices and quality standards.
Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in backend development, with strong hands-on expertise in Golang and building production-grade systems.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and backend system design.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka/SQS and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Strong understanding of API design, backend security practices, logging, monitoring, and observability.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews, technical design reviews, and engineering standards.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and mentoring skills with the ability to drive technical discussions independently.
- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure or deployment best practices.
