About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive QA Engineer to ensure high-quality releases across our complex, multi-tenant web and mobile platforms. You won't just test a single app; you will validate an ecosystem that we white-label and customize for major banking partners. You will be responsible
for designing test strategies, executing deep manual testing on transactional logic (like "earn and burn" point mechanisms), building scalable automation frameworks, and maintaining rigorous, actionable test documentation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design & Execute Testing: Design and execute detailed test cases (manual + automated) for complex B2B2C web and native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Documentation & Defect Triage: Create and maintain comprehensive, clear test documentation, including test plans, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and step-by-step reproducible bug reports. Maintain strict defect triage processes and track test coverage across releases.
- Multi-Tenant & Localization Validation: Test how core platform updates impact different clients sharing the same underlying system. Validate multi-currency logic and regional nuances, including Right-to-Left (RTL) UI alignment for our Middle Eastern clients.
- API & Integration Validation: Validate API responses, event payloads, and third-party merchant integrations using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Automation Strategy: Develop and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, regression) using modern frameworks to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
- Security & Compliance: Conduct functional, regression, UI, and basic security testing, ensuring secure handling of user data and payment flows.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as a release gatekeeper by identifying critical defects preproduction. Collaborate closely with product, development, and DevOps teams to clarify requirements and unblock releases.
Skills:
- 3–5 years of QA experience with a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing.
- Strong Methodological Foundation: Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and proven ability to write clear, actionable documentation using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Automation Tools: Experience with tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
- API Testing: Proficiency in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- CI/CD Exposure: Familiarity with integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), including the ability to read pipeline logs and investigate failed automated test runs.
- Bug Tracking: Experience using JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent test management software.
- Core Attributes: Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
