Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to identify software defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and QA peers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Demonstrate autonomy in task execution, taking ownership of deliverables.
• Analyse and resolve complex issues promptly, documenting and communicating findings.
• Identify, document, and monitor software defects using issue tracking systems.
• Adapt smoothly to change and switch gears as needed.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices in manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of QA processes and procedures.
• Perform both manual and automated testing as required.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to uphold software product quality and reliability.
Requirements & Skills:
• 2-5 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
• Proficiency in manual testing; automation experience is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman. • Experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects punctually with high quality.
• Self-motivated and confident, with a collaborative demeanour and the capacity to articulate questions effectively.
• Ability to comprehend complex programs and environments rapidly.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes.
